When Samantha was younger, It took me a LONG time to get used to the fact that kids are mean and that I am not always going to be there to stop the hurtful things they say or do to her. All we can do is teach our own children that it is not right and hope that they are not being hurt and are not causing someone elses hurt. All that work paid off when I overheard Samantha talking to a friend of hers and they were talking about how she stood up for someone less fortunate at school and stopped that person from being teased. It made me feel good that she has done that for someone that everyone else looked at as a "loser". I am sure that you and Clayton are WONDERFUL parents, the fact that the comment made you hurt that bad shows it. Sully will grow up to be a wonderful person. Keep up the good work Tara!Candihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02608324686919480675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4278113783703517963.post-74247239498393047902011-08-10T20:28:53.417-05:002011-08-10T20:28:53.417-05:00I know kids (and some adults) say mean things and ...I know kids (and some adults) say mean things and some just have no filter between their brains and their mouths, but I do blame the parents or caretakers for not stepping up. The mom (or whoever was with those kids) should have been paying attention to the kids and should have addressed what the girl said. I think what you told her was perfect. And so is Sully! :)Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01445826366197485120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4278113783703517963.post-71589777172891133832011-08-08T20:23:29.822-05:002011-08-08T20:23:29.822-05:00This is hard to read because I hate to think of yo...This is hard to read because I hate to think of you sad or of anybody saying anything remotely unkind about that sweet, ridiculously cute baby bird of yours. So many people love Sully to pieces that he will definitely know that anyone who is anything but kind to him is just wrong. He will probably think they're weird for not being nice to him.aaghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10876446011731127204noreply@blogger.com
